Solid-State Position Sensitive Detectors, 26th-27th of March in Hamburg (Germany)

In the framework of the AIDA FP7 project, an integrating activity addressing infrastructures for detector R&D, a joint academia-industry matching event on Solid-State Position Sensitive Detectors is going to be held on the 26th-27th of March at DESY, Hamburg.

Day one, starting around midday, will be devoted to academia presentations on the needs of research on Solid-State Position Sensitive Detectors. The second day, in the morning, will address company presentations, followed by one-to-one discussions in the afternoon. Participants from both industry and academia will have the opportunity to convey their work by displaying posters, products and demos. Job offers and advertisements can also be posted on the website.

The objectives of this event are to:
  • introduce the industry to the technological- and R&D-needs of the Particle Physics community, as well as the needs of other sectors, including medicine, life science, security and material research,
  • advance R&D collaborations between academia and industry,
  • offer companies the opportunity to meet with researchers and present their activities and products.
Registration is now open at the event's website. For more details, please consult the agenda of the event, which can be found here.
