Charla científica "Principles and Programming of the Mammalian Germ Line", Prof. Azmin Surani, 8 de junio


El próximo viernes 8 de junio tendremos el placer de recibir al Prof. Azmin Surani en nuestras instalaciones. Aprovechando su visita nos ofrecerá una charla con el siguiente título:

"Principles and Programming of the Mammalian Germ Line"

El evento ha sido organizado por IVIOMICS, empresa alojada en el Parc Científic de la Universitat de València. El acto, de carácter abierto, tendrá lugar a las 12:00 h en el Auditorium Marie Curie del Parc Científic de la Universitat de València, agradeciendo por anticipado vuestra presencia y difusión.

Azim Surani:
Marshall-Walton Professor.  
Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute University of Cambridge Tennis Court Road Cambridge.  
Obtained  PhD in Mammalian Development University of Cambridge in 1975 under Professor R G Edwards. Established independent laboratory at Babraham Institute in 1979. In 1991 appointed Marshall-Walton Professor Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute. Professorial Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge.  
Key honours awards, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society 1990, awarded a doctorate honoris causa by Uppsala University 1994, Menten, Visiting Professorship of Pathology University of Pittsburgh 1990, William Bate Hardy Prize by  Cambridge Philosophical Society 1991. Associate Fellow Third World Academy of Sciences 1992, Fellow Academy of Medical Sciences 2001, a Member of EMBO 1993 and of Academia Europea 1994. Appointed Sir Dorabji Tata Distinguished Professor to NCBS Institute, and Distinguished Fellow Nehru Institute in Bangalore, India 2004. Awarded  Royal Society Gabor Medal in 2001. In 2007 awarded  36th annual Lewis S. Rosenstiel Award in Basic Medical Research and awarded CBE for services to biology, and the Royal Medal in 2010 by The Royal Society.
